The
King
Out of San Francisco and onto The Netherlands, Ashley and I
braved the insecure world of travel after the 911 tragedy.
We went to attend the World Friesian Mare show as guests of
Arnold--shopping for mares, but in the end found a Stallion
--The KING he was to become known as...little did we know
that at the time.
I
didn't like Tietse at first, he just kept cantering and
cantering and cantering, never tiring. I was waiting for
him to tire within seconds and go into the normal Friesian trot
like all other Friesians we had previously viewed. I got
tired of waiting, he did not.--this was my first indication that
Tietse just was NOT a normal Friesian. Ashley
liked him
Arnold
and I discussed his movements, couldn't quite define what it was
about him. After that I didn't give him a second thought, until
after returning home. Ashley said mom look at him again on your
video, after all, you only saw him thru your camera lens. Well,
I watched that video, frame by frame by frame and over and over
again----this picture & the next, did it, he was sleek, but
every bit a Friesian.
TIETSE
was AWESOME!
My birthday was coming, I phone
Arnold, " I have just wired you the money. I
want TIETSE -A Happy Birthday from ME to ME!"
Arnold said wait a minute, I have
also been thinking about him. Shall we try an Adventure
together? ........and so it began..............
